Dear all,
I‘m working on my research design on my thesis and looking for questionnaires to answer questions around the topic succession in companies. It would be great to have a relation with family-owned companies, but this is not a must. Maybe its also useful to have a more general questionnaire regarding succession in companies or factor which are positively or negatively influencing succession. Also personal, professional or even performance related research is interesting.
I‘m thinking of doing a literature review on that and all angles of succession can be useful to brighten the view or even narrow it down in the end.

Develop the questionnaire using your problem statement and research question(s)
Thank you Bayo Olushola Omoyiola ! This is a possible way, but I like to use an other approach and use already proven questionnaires and see how to adjust them and/or using the already risen date for comparison and for my analysis section. So, if anybody can help me out with research it would be great.
I am not the best person to suggest questionnaires because i don´t apply them in my areas of expertise that need qualitative approaches. i do consult quantitative results form other colleagues to sense the trends i am interested in studying with in depth methods.
your topic certainly needs good questionnaires, as well as consulting scientific works. but if you want to open the "Pandora box" of succession in enterprises, you should start constructing your research design by using in-depth interviews with "successors", their "predecessors" and those who work for them.If you are able to create empathetic relations with them (not necessarily many to create a "statistically representative sample"), they will provide insights that you never imagined.
Consider including qualitative methods during your study to add personal views.
Thank you Marta Núñez- Sarmiento ! My first research paper already made such in-depth interviews and the results were really fruitful. In my case, I would like to get a deeper understanding of past research and mirror it to my actual research. I already get some interesting insights from incumbents and successors and I really like to add now the view of the literature and of past research, maybe with data from past research. I really thing this will add value to my research and value to the research down so far.
If I may, i recommend that you consider how outstanding events worldwide and in your country created different "periods" along this process of "succession".
For example, the present Covid-19 pandemic creates a milestone for humanity.
Thank you again. This is already part of my research. I making a longitudinal study during the different stages of succession, but for my actual research I‘m looking for past research and already proven questionnaires related to succession in companies.
