My research will be based on User Generated Content and tourism. But due COVID 19 the tourism landscape in Sri Lanka and the world has changed. So I have a doubt whether it is okay to continue the same or revise research proposal
I think it depends a lot of whether the data that you planned on when your wrote your proposal will still be available in a way that allows you to answer your original research questions. If you already have the data, then I would definitely proceed and use it to describe a particular point in time. But it you still need to collect the data, you may well need to change your plans.
Dear Bimali Wijesundara , the tourism sector is one of the most affected by the crisis caused by covid 19. It would be a mistake not to take this situation into account, since alternatives to post-pandemic tourism are looming. For example, socio-ecological coexistence models
@BIMALI WIJESUNDARA. Every Research now should be base on the the pandemic to improve the current world situation. So in my own opinion if you can modify your Research Proposal in line with Covid-19
Maybe you don't need to change the direction of your proposal but you might need to take covid-19 and its effect on your research area in consideration not least in the discussion of your findings, if relevant. Tourism is an area that has clearly been affected by the pandemic so it seems likely that you need to address covid-19 in some way.
