More detail:

I'm currently growing K562 cells. I have them shaking at 50 rpm in an incubator supplemented with 5% CO2. However, this morning we discovered that our incubator had run out of CO2 sometime overnight, we do not have another cylinder, and I'm not sure when another one will arrive. We do not have another CO2 incubator large enough to accommodate the shaker. So, until another cylinder of CO2 arrives, would it be better for the cells to be grown in suspension with CO2-independent media or put them in a CO2 incubator without shaking?

We initially tried the CO2-independent media approach and they'll survive, but they grow slowly (the highest concentration we got over 2 weeks was 4 x 10^5 cells/mL).
