The coronavirus pandemic has already claimed over half a million lives across the world, with case numbers continuing to rise. Global cases are more than 13 M & USA has more than 3.4 M cases. Brazil tops 1.8 M cases and India now has the third highest number of coronavirus cases in the world.

WHO has done many things wrong in this pandemic. Perhaps it would be useful to understand on the basis of what scientific reasoning the catastrophic theses outlined are exposed.
I agree with him this time. Examples of previous statements were wrong, like public should not wear masks, was done out of necessity that their was a shortage of PPE for healthcare workers. But a statement about following the simple guidelines to prevent the situation from getting worse is reasonable, because, in fact, things are getting much worse every day.

In general, viruses become progressively less dangerous over time for humans. In fact, killing the host is not convenient for a infectious agent! WHO organization should carefully evaluate words and concepts well before exposing them to the public

Countries with low levels of Covid-19 will still experience outbreaks, WHO says
Countries coming out of lockdowns and countries with low levels of Covid-19 will still experience potential clusters and outbreaks of the disease, Dr. Mike Ryan, executive director of the World Health Organization’s Health Emergencies Programme, said on Thursday.
Ryan explained during a news conference that even in countries that have brought down the virus "under extreme control," such as Germany and Spain, "there's always a chance that the disease can be imported or the disease can spread from unseen clusters."
Ryan said that rather than implementing widespread lockdowns, governments should be "more precise" in how they contain an outbreak.
