There are of course reports and myths about animals changing their behaviour before e.g. an earthquake event, however, they are not trained for this. The narrative is that they feel the event with their instinct.

I have never heard of any credible attempts to actively use animals for early warning but I actually wonder what the false alarm rate would be. Could also be rather difficult to calibrate the system =D
