I have a research paper coming up where I have to present a puzzle, review the relevant scholarly literature and argue for my own preferred explanation on any international security threat. I have to have a broadly defined hypothesis and my argument/ theory along with findings confirming the hypothesis. Any ideas?

I propose the following research topic in the field of international security threats: Analysis of key determinants of the development of cybercrime, including cybercriminal attacks using malicious, spyware and ransomware viruses, i.e. the area of cybercrime that is particularly dangerous to the institutional and economic stability of the corporation and the state. In addition, this type of cybercrime threats may also pose a threat to the efficiently functioning crisis management and pandemic risk management systems, the improvement of anti-pandemic security systems, and the systemic fight against the SARS-CoV-2 (Covid-19) coronavirus pandemic. This type of cybercrime threat may also pose a threat to the functioning of the state's cyber security institutions. Therefore, these types of cybercrime threats may generate an increased risk of international destabilization in political, economic and military terms.
