For several months, I've been plagued by a lack of clarity. Please assist me in determining the clarification. I'd like to clarify a few points.
1. Is the spectral reflectance of a tree, shrub, or herb the same? or will it differ depending on the tree, shrub, and herb?
2. In terms of tree species, will it be the same for all individual tree species or will it differ between species?

Leaf area must be a factor (in NIR path length is also important)
Mewa Singh Dhanoa I'm measuring spectral reflectance with a spectroradiometer. My question is, will it differ depending on the tree species? For instance, I am researching the spectral signatures of two species: Mangifera indica (Family: Anacardiaceae) and Cocos nucifera ( Arecaceae). My question is whether the spectral signature will differ between these two species. or will it remain the same?
Well incident energy from a spectroradiometer will get reflected from surface of substrate particles. sample packing density, particle orientation, path length of incident energy, particle size, sample moisture etc. So assume multitude of such factors. our paper below & the attached pdf of another have more:
