I would like to quantify Hg(II) and Al(III) by UV-VIS, but I work with Cr(VI) and Pb(II) in the same mix, I am looking for some chromophore agent that does not interact with Cr(VI) and Pb( II), only interact with Hg(II) and Al(III) preferably forming distinct bands to quantify the two. I use the four metals in a solution mix in an aqueous medium, but chromium has a known band at 350 nm and lead at 208 nm. Now I just need to quantify these two Hg(II) and Al(III) in other bands above these. I found the dithizone for Hg(II) but I looked that it interacts with Pb(II).
