We are here in Uppsala in Sweden studying harms to children when parents have drug or alchol addiction problems. That is why I am interresting in the results of your project. I also wonder when there will be any results from the survey to present?

In the Indian context, especially in the low income communities, where alcoholism is a problem among parents, it gas deep impact on the children, hampering their normal life. It leads to economic deprivation, domestic abuse and children taking to alcohol, drug abuse and crime.
This situation is very disheartening! Parental alcoholism exerts a negative toll on children. The condition is dire to the extent that many children fall prey to unscrupulous adults who preempt them into grievous social vices like teenage pregnancy, gambling, theft and others. Governments and Children affairs agencies and departments in countries must find ways of arresting this sad canker.
