Having obtained my BA in English Literature from Iran and my MA in Modern Literature from the University of York, I am about to begin my PhD studies in the same field in England next year. Thus I intend to fully consolidate my knowledge in English grammar so that I would not face any big issues in grammar when I write papers for peer-reviewed journals.
My professors in the UK used to tell me it is not noticeable that I am Iranian when I speak English, but it becomes so when I write in English.

Dear Hessam Abedini , there are good books you can return to . As a jumping- off point, I suggest the following titles:
1. Michael Swan. Practical English Usage, 1995.
2. Raymond Murphy. English Grammar in Use ,
3. Geoffrey Leech, et al. Communicative English Grammar.
4. Rapid Review of English Grammar: A Text for Students of English As a Second Language

What has been suggested (e.g. Swann's English Usage) is excellent. However, may I make the point that grammar itself may not be the only major difficulty. British English is different (in many ways) than Canadian English. I realize that Iran may still have vestiges of colonial English so you may be familiar with variants in meaning and subtlety in your earlier studies. Tallyho and all that!
While not strictly a grammar book, Helen Sword's "Stylish Academic Writing" gives an excellent overview of stylistic elements and features that characterize quality academic writing (eg. active voice; strong action verbs). The approaches here can be used alongside the basic (but of course valuable!) grammar books to build a repertoire of writing tools.
