Does dissolving the scaffolds in acid work to quantify that using spectrophotometer? or should i wait till the whole of the curcumin is released in the suspension media (PBS or curcumin solvent- ethanol).

Dear Pavithra Pattabiraman ! To quantify the curcumin content in the mesh polymer (frame), I recommend conducting a sol-gel analysis by treating with ethanol in the Soxlet apparatus. The sol fraction can be analyzed by various methods, including spectroscopy, determination of the dry residue (gravimetry), nuclear magnetic resonance (the most accurate).
