I want to study that which simulators can used for localization in wireless sensor networks so I can have knowledge about that simulators, for this purpose I want to study some articles which can help me.
You can either use NS-3, MATLAB or any other simulation software but u need to be specific on the environment first and in which dimension, the Algorithm.
You can use wireless sensor network simulator in C#. It`s so easy to localize sensor nodes in deployed networks. There are simple variables in this simulator to get node`s position. There are located in WirelessSensor class in this simulator. Please find the attached file.
I guess NS3 and Matlab may be good choices. In fact, for localization in a real sensor networks, only simulations are not enough. Some interferences are hard to be considered and predicted by the tools as Matlab. Although deploying a real time WSN is difficult, it is meaningful and necessary.
u can use the NS3 for the localization of nodes and moreover if you are very specific that either you need to work on range based or range free techniques then some help can be possible from the codes available on codeforge or some other links that can be implement on Matlab but with limited capabilities
