dear Friends!i am a Computer Science Scholar and my research area is Wireless Sensor Networks. i am studying an article on privcy in Wireless Sensor Networks in which the author have used an equation which i think is from statistics therefore i am unable to understand that equation please help me that which equation it is.the equation is given below:

I'm note sure which article you got but this one might shed some light on the understanding of the equation (rewritten for more clarity) :
xH(i) = 1 + xH(i-1) * Lambda(i) + xH(i) * (1 - Lambda(i))

Indeed it looks like a kind of autoregressive equation aiming at smoothing a prediction between a previous prediction and a new measurement. Such models are quite common for mitigating the expectation of a variable between a model and its measurement to account for uncertainty. However, the correct equation should be provided or a reference where we could find the appropriate models.
It sure looks like it, the equation being reduce to :
XH(i) = XH(i-1) + (1 / λH(i))
In the attachment you can see that they just have used this equation without explanation of from where they get this equation therefore i am unable to understand it. so please help me to understand it.
