The first two respondents have said it clearly. Though not new, drug resistance in TB is still existing. The new thing now might be the effect of COVID-19 regarding access to drugs, diagnostics among others. I highly recommend you join a research group in that line of research. you will get more information about what is currently happening in that field

Consider extensively drug-resistant tuberculosis(XDR-TB). You may also wish to loom at follow up studies of MDR-TB patients
