Now we are using 30 70 lead tin alloy for soldering brass tanks in radiators and it doesnt work well and as possible as we can we dont want to use 40 60 lead tin alloy because of its price.
Have you tried Sn/Pb/In alloy commonly known as Alloy 532? It has a lower MP (melting range 140 to 152 deg C), the liquidus temp being about 30 deg C cooler than the eutectic Sn/Pb temp. Price will not be cheaper.
Maybe you could also try using Bismuth within your solder alloy. Sn42Bi58 has a low melting point of ~138 °C (eutectic). Another alloy would be Sn43Pb43Bi14 (144 - 163°C). Don't know about the price though.
