Solar cell fabrication is broad area of research and can be divided into silicon solar cells, Inorganic solar cells, Organic solar cells, Hybrid solar cells, Perovskite solar cells, Tandem Solar cells etc. So, please make sure, in which area you want to do your research?
Thanks for your reply, In case of hot carrier, as per I know, I have scope to think in so many area, Any way I want to go in inorganic or Perovskite area, I need some new idea about hot carrier splitting and efficiency increasing phenomenon....
It is so that in the conventional solar cell with single energy gap absorber, if the incident poton energy Eph is greater Eg this energy difference will be converted to thermal energy by a process called generated carriers thermalization . This is a tremendous energy causing that such conventional solar cell conversion efficiency is slightly grater than 30 percent. If a part of this lost energy is converted to electricity at the same time, the conversion efficiency will increase than this Quisser limit. This can be accomplished by the hot carrier solar cells or multijunction solar cells.
