Hi Faisal, You might find the attached paper a useful reference.If I am reading your question correctly, then you have 10 plants on which you wish to assess the seasonal presence of butterflies. I would suggest repeated counts at predefined intervals over the course of time. This will need to be done over several years if you want to make any association between butterfly presence/abundance and seasonality. I hope this helps.

Sampling for butterflies can be done in permanent transects on a monthly basis using aerial entomological net or Van Someren-Rydon traps, during the sampling seasons and then identified and calculated seasonally for abundance, diversity, richness and evenness in the sampling spots.
