I try to conjugate chitosan-folic acid. how to remove unconjugated folic acid from my sample?

I searched many literatures that say we should use dialysis to remove unconjugated folic acid. on the other hand, there are several papers said that by using centrifuge, we can remove unconjugated folic acid. which one is the best and easy to use? because dialysis need more time instead of centrifugation. thanks

Raise the pH for chitosan to precipitate while folic acid remains soluble.
