I synthesized ZnO/bentonite articles and studied degradation of oxytetracycline surprisingly most efficient degradation rate was obtained at pH5 value. in this pH OTC forms neutral structure. there is no electrostatic attraction. how can ı explain this result. please help me. tahank you

I also have the same question as Rafik above - what are your products? Beyond that, do not confuse a "neutral structure" with no interactions/attractions. First, an overall neutral structure may still be zwitterionic with both negative and positive charges in the same molecule. Beyond that, oxytetracycline has an abundance of hydrogen-bonding sites, both acceptors and donors. Finally, you are focusing completely on the effect of pH on the oxytetracycline - there may be an effect on the surface composition of your particles that is changing the reactivity. Do not be quick to focus on one aspect of a complex system.
