I need to prepare a stock solution of 25U from an enzyme and the bottle I bought says that the enzyme is in 1U/mg.
I am newin this field of research... I have worked only once with enzymes but I need help in this technical questions and also, can you give some literature where I can learn the basics of working with enzymes?
I don't know which calculations I have to make to convert U/ml to U/mg, or the inverse, for instance.

It is impossible to answer your question unless you have informatioin about the concentration of the enzyme in the bottle you bought: how many U/ml or how many mg/ml; in the latter case, since the specific activity of the enzyme is 1 U/mg, 1 mg/ml is equivalent to 1 U/ml. Once you know the concentration in U/ml, it easy to calculate what volume you need to get 25 U.

If you need 25 U and the enzyme is provided as 1 U/mg, you need 25 mg, which you can weigh out on an analytical balance. You then have to decide in what volume you will dissolve the 25 mg of solid.
