I would say, use thermal etching!! it helps for grain boundary but Cannot say for domains
ETCHING IS NOT EASY PROCESS BUT U MAKE EASY ..... FIRST DIRECTLY U DON'T TAKE CON . HCL . FIRST U DO 75% WATER 25 % HCL IN DIFFERENT TEMP WITH RESPECT TO TIME .FIRST START WITH 30 SEC , 60 SEC , 5 MINS, 10 MINS, HALF AN HOUR , 1 HRS , 2 HRS . THEN INCREASE TEMP AS 50 C , 100 C , 120 C , 150 C , 190 C LIKE ..... IF U 'VE ANY DOUBT U CAN CONTACT ANY TIME.
I would like to say that etching is basically dissolution from preferential sites. So keep a lower concentration (say 25%/ 30% or max 50%) to avoid sever chemical attack . keep temperature fixed (say room temp.) as higher temperature for this inorganic acids is not good for the person working with it and play with time. if possible try to plot a polarization plot which help u for the optimization of the process. I used to use 1 vol % HF 4 vol % HCl solution for approx 5 seconds at room temperature. It should reveal the domain structure.
