I have a few photos exported from a different software. I need to add some captions in the photos. Can do this edit in Matlab? and is there a way to unify the dimensions of the photos automatically in Matlab? I will use the photos as figures in my research hence i would like them to be of a similar size.

which kind of caption you would like to do ? why don't you use Tecplot ?

If you import your figures into Matlab, you can add captions to the figure with the annotation function: https://www.mathworks.com/help/matlab/ref/annotation.html. Or the text function will also work: https://www.mathworks.com/help/matlab/ref/text.html.
