iodine in my opinion the deficiency state is more beneficial than overload.
iodine deficiency causes hypothyroidism and goiter
but iodine overload causes the bad immunological response against thyroid antigen. AITD is worsened when compared with hypothyroidism.

If not by direct hand from hospitals (where clinical cases are included) maybe from the classical "preprints" the collection of data,and of course publication. Hospitals work in a different way. A preprint is not the same in a hospital. The kind of archive flying around and does not have to be a collection of data. Set the papers to no more than a year and see what happens. Not in a hospital, this kind of thing is different. Maybe from a source like Google scholar and see what happens. If I can I could try some
Please read as much as possible literatures in Hashimoto's thyroiditis. To identify a valid research gap you may review literatures following categories:
a. Literatures in journals articles.
b. Literatures in thesis and dissertation.
C. Literatures in books.
Note: As much as possible latest literatures. Also, you may include a literature as much as possible previous to know the history of the Hashimoto's thyroiditis.

Kaled Nather Taha Iodine overload and deficiency have been seen to produce similar and sometimes the exact same symptoms. For most industrialized nations the major sources of iodine are 1. Dairy Products, 2 &3 depending on the country: iodized salts or seafood. This is a major difference from when sea salt or seafood were the sources of iodine and were shipped inland to prevent goiter. Why do you think these changes in quantity, quality, and chemical composition would have on the general population and corresponding microbiomes?
