i want to built automatic start water pump for house hold near my area. where drinking water comes very early morning and without starting motor it will not come in reservoir. also the tarrain of area is also sloppy so water not come in full pressure hence we must start motor repeatedly to check it water is send by authority or not.
so i need to simplify these all things for that
i need some sensor which sence slight pressure difference of air inside water pipe of 1/2 inch and give signal to pump to start automatic.
so which type of pressure sensor i need what will be the pressure difference i calibrate ? how it fitt to 1/2 inch water pipe?
please suggest any idea?

You may want to try the MPS20N0040D Pressure Sensor, it can measure roughly -10kPa to +10kPa, which should be fine for measuring air pressures in your application. You will need to couple the 2.5mm ID tubing to your 1/2" pipe, which shouldn't be a problem.
I wrote a tutorial on calibrating and using the MPS20N0040D sensor with a U-tube manometer (which could be a similar application as what you are describing). The project uses an Arudino board to read pressure from the sensor. You can read the entire tutorial here:
