I look for a software to draw a circular viral genome, indicating the beginning and end of ORFs, which is a way to show the organization of a genome. Sending attached a photo of a genome, which would like to use as an example.
It is a simple, free and superpowerful software for its simplicity (not even need to install it. It can also read .gb files (GenBank files from NCBI) showing annotated features.

after testing a several softwares, I finally bought Gene Construction kit (GCK) from Textco. It is not cheap, but it is very powerful for cloning, drawing maps and restriction maps. I think they have a free demo you can download. http://www.textco.com
Invitrogen VectorNTI is also a standard in the market withth plenty of functions (but APE is a freeware as said before so a good software to start with eventually).
