Try to bring the size of battery down (scaling) and visualise the effects quickly. Then you do not have to wait long. Additionally try to use average models of power converters that will definitely help.

Another way to reduce the simulation time include :

- reduce the sampling time (for example from 10(-6) to 10(-5))

- use another type of solver (with the required parametrization )

It is possible to reduce simulation time by either of the following:

- reducing the tolerance of simulation,

- using solvers that converge faster and

- introducing a scaling factor for the parameters.

Write your own simulation program.

My suggestions are:

Use average models for converters (easy if you are not interested to high frequency harmonics).

Convert continuous state models to discrete state to run at fixed time step (this requires a deep understanding of each module).

Decouple possible algebraic loops.

Simplify the models of cables and TL's.

With both provision should allow increasing the time step up to 10-50 useconds.
