I took a look at it and,.... how can I say it is a lot of text but very less biochemistry. I agree with Claudio, take a look at internet and learn from lecture material from other scholars!

It is designed to introduce biochemistry and molecular biology to toddler medical students for taking their first steps in to the medical course and sensiting the students about the relivence of the subject in learning and practice of medicine. The text in the ppt is only the topic ligands, the biochemistry part lies with the skill of the teacher presenting the lecture. The teacher is always an integral part in teaching, otherwise any projectionist is sufficient to take a class with high quality lecture material which are available in plenty.
The origin of the ppt is in my 35 years of teaching experiance for both UG and PG medical students with the cumulative feeling that even after finishing the courses, and becoming teachers, researchers and clinicians; only a very few persive what actually is the subject in reality in relation to life and what is its prime utility for improvement of human health.
My feeling is that, we learn anatomy by dissecting a human cadaver without knowing what is a human being and after finishing also we do not rethink what ia a human being and I do not believe in this type of teaching and learning.
I am sorry, if my feelings and openion is hurting somebody. I also believe that every teacher is unique in his teaching skill, inclusive both positive and negative.
I think you shuld try to add some pictures to your presentation, because there are people how understand better the ideas if you show some images. Try to explain the topic with some examples that you find in the normal life. :D
Sorry, but I agree with most of the previous commentators: too much text, too little illustrations and very little information about biochemistry. Some of the slides could be used for an introduction but the subsequent slides should really answer the question 'what is biochemistry'.
Additionally, (just of minor impact) on the slides 6,7 and 9 there is a typo in mat(t)er.
I think in an introductory scheme for the medical students, try to discuss your points by introducing a clinical simple cases. Let them seek for the case important points.
Be a facilitator for the knowledge not a spoon feeding lecturer. Do not undermined your students intelligence .
I have gone through the attached "Biochem Clinique.docx". The approach is really effective. But only very few medical colleges in our part of the world can afford the required time and resource to adopt such teaching technique. We are not that resourceful and fortunate and have to try and depend on indigenous developments to generate optimized learning interest. The ppt is only a skeleton script, it gets life in presence of the teacher. However, by now I am sure that it is an useless ppt without the presenting teacher. The second slide explains the entire situation. .
