Dear Nusrat Sahiba , are you sure you have received carbon sulfonic acid? What is the reaction's condition there? Because, you may receive acrolein if you use conc H2SO4 for the reaction. Esterification reaction (sulphation) is reversible and it is easily break ester group in it when reaction system has water molecule. Please, some clarify your question.

So, in that case, probably you have had mixture of the substituted (mono-, di- and tri) sulfated glycerol esters and usually they have low molecular weight. I recommend you try to find their MW using GPC/SEC system with Styragel HR 0.5 column
