Congratulations for your appointments in which we the people of RG can attest you will cary out the duties and responsibilities the position demands professionaly and effectively. I will say be open to learn and to lead the faculty with clear vision not to keep the stausquo but to transform it to a better, have a humor but being focused and above all be person of the organization you are leading.
One suggestion is that, you can go for international faculty and student exchange programs. If you are interested, please let me know, we are also ready.
My sincere congratulations for your appointments dear @Ra'ed! You just follow the rules and improve them. Try to give your contribution in terms of better research outcome and high quality education. If it does not exist, try to establish alumni organization at your Faculty. Former students will bring positive ideas and suggestions.
Of course, international cooperation and visibility of your institution should be improved by doing this. I do hope that you have had a freedom to make good team. Good luck!
1. Students --- students are ambassadors of the institute, develop culture of development of the students, ensure interaction between present and old students, update syllabi to match the industry needs, ensure better placement of students, etc.
2. Teachers --- guide and develop teachers, motivate them, engage them in research, ensure teachers must bring research projects, enhance consultancy, etc.
3. Research --- enhance research, motivate teachers and scholars for quality research, conduct/manage research conference in the institute, allow researchers to participate and present papers in international conferences, if possible start a research Journal, etc.
4. Administration --- provide effective, fair, and honest governance to the institute, manage resources for the institute, allocate of resources, guide Vice-Chancellor in academic issues, etc.
5. Stakeholders --- satisfy and built trust in stakeholders, increase visibility of your institute, call reputed subject/research experts for delivering lectures and interaction with the students, etc.
Congratulations for a post that you really deserve, in my opinion. Jordan is a rich country of historical sites & the people have general hospitality towards the visitors. I think that this Faculty is supposed to work on encouraging internal & external tourism. A more bright civilized appearance of the country ought to be presented & more hospitality in cities ought to be found. The Faculty will prepare the students for this task & will utilize the efforts of them to spread its mission & goals. You can, dear Dr. Ra'ed, play a key role in encouraging the staff to inculcate this message among the students & please follow the open door policy for the whole "family" in this important Faculty so as Jordan, as a whole, gains good income as well as good reputation.

Dear Sir Ljubomir, RG colleagues and friends, thank you so much for your warm advice and opinions. Yes acting as a dean is so crucial as each academic staff has his own philosophy as graduated from different countries and each tries to convince me of his/her point view; ideas; initiatives; forming groups; and so on...thus, so far I managed to do a SWOT analysis, appointed heads of the 3 departments, shaping the annual plan...I will monitor my work and track the tasks frequently.
