I have anhydrous citric acid powder that solidified in its plastic bottle. How can I use this solidified extremely hard bulk of material?
Put it in a desiccating environment. Possibly also at a low elevated temp, i.e. 40 or 50 C.

My reccomendation: Dissolve it in distilled water. Then let it crystallize (in Petri dish with large area) close to room temperature as monohydrate passing a dry air over a solution. Finally heat gently slightly over 80 °C until no weight change is observed. This should by anhydrous citric acid in a form of thin layer that can be crushed to fine powder in mortar.
