Dear All,
I am using viscous mixture of epoxy and hardener, which shows bubbles and air entrapment after mixing. I do hand stir and maximum speed.
How can I remove the bubbles?
a) Can I use ultrasonification? but it is not suitable for larger parts
b) Can I use water bath in which resin will be kept for 10min after which hardener is added?.
c) I am able to see the presence of air entrapment along thickness. The bubbles are not coming up, they are stuck in mixture.
Please help.

I faced the same problem while casting insulation for an electrode with epoxy. I used a vacuum chamber to mitigate the problem. I put the epoxy mixture in the vacuum chamber and turning on the pump created low pressure that extracted the air bubbles from the mixture and produced a fairly good result.

If I had problem with resin I would have done that. But I am facing the problem during mixing and due to exothermic reaction the bubbles are formed which get divided into micro voids and it spreads completely in laminate.
I am trying warm water bath method and will update on that soon.
Use less hardener, give the hardening process more time.
