I am working on anions and cations in water through DIONEX ICS 5000, i am getting higher recovery for some anions specially chloride around 135-140%. Is that acceptable?
The first thing I'd do in this situation is check the quality of the water used for the eluent. A result such as yours immediately raises suspicions about contamination/insufficient purity.
it is might be impossible. where sea water high salanity is 3% that is 3 gm in 100ml. you can filter the solution and evaporate 100 solution then calculate. if your result is carried out by ion chromatography you may be mistake dillution factor.
Julius Pavlov am doing IC validation and i am also getting peaks when using MILLI Q water as BLANK. Should i subtract Blank value from Standard value?Please suggest.

1.conductivity of deionized water should be approximately 0.2 microsimence. 2.wash the detector , supressor and column . 3 during washing observe the conductivity from instrument.
