It should have volume element. Can any one suggest how to proceed?

You can model the behavior of such pile through two approaches; 1) equivalent plate elements, 2) 3D finite elements. If you're going to consider the second approach, don't forget to check the mesh quality as you may have to impose a very fine mesh around pile endings to get an adequate mesh quality for reasonable results.
To do so, considering the second approach, draw the pile geometry and generate the mesh. Then assign the material to the cluster (s) comprising the pile.

you can do it by modelling the circular pile as a shell element and define a materials by plate and assign the material to the shell.

The best would be to use plate elements. To model 3mm thick pile wall using volume elements will generate a huge amount of elements.
