I am of the opinion that all the research materials need to be part and parcel of the policy making and implementation institutions otherwise lost?.I have observed that research materials worth billions are piled up in the universities but with not used because of the missing connections with the policy making and the implementing institutions.Secondly we usually miss the media connection because of some reservations that might be of some sort of corruptions that the media may find and the DGs might mind it.Thus by doing so we lost much more of our talent and the money and the productivity too.
I agree but such problem is more commonly seen in developing countries. Otherwise, most research works in European and the Northern American countries research activities are financed by private companies.
