It 'may' be useful for some network security simulation. If you can give more information about what kind of work you are doing, I can try to answer. There are also other NetSim experts here who might know more.

I would like to do edge computing security in IoT. without hardware support is it possible to do implementation using simulation tool? or if any other opensource tools is there to work on?my research area is IoT edgecomputing security. to work with some light weight algorithms i need tool .please could u help me.

Yes Sasi priya, you can do this with a simulator without use of hardware.

You can implement some security algorithms in the edge compute device in NetSim.
