I am looking for a software for searching a text in a set of files. Any recommendations?

I do not have any such tool in mind, however, would suggest using custom scripts (maybe written in R or Python or even shell) instead. As my experience has shown, the requirement to use a specific keyword or combination of them, or even to seek out a part of the text, is often quite dynamic. As a result, I have frequently modified the scripts based on my interests. You may even have the option of sticking to one script if you run a simple keyword search every time. It is also interesting to know what the problem is with the tool you mentioned, though I have not used it yet. In case my suggestion seems totally irrelevant, please ignore it. Thanks

Dear Rushan Ziatdinov,
One very good tool would be the Atom editor (https://atom.io), though it is for text files only. You are able to specify a project in it and collect all your folders/files into that project, than you can perform a search action in that project. See my attachment where I was searching for the term: "list".
