Actually I have collected pollen samples both from hives and surrounding flora in different landscape of Nepal. I am building pollen library to identify what plants are foraged by different species of honeybees at different landscape.
Weel, I have used cell phones instead of professional cameras with success... the important thing to conseder here is the quality of the pictures that your cellphone takes...cheers, daniel
That would be great, how about the quality of the pictures taken by camera on I-phone series? Is there any software need to be used to connect cell phone and microscope? I donot know if we can click simply from eye-piece. Thanks.
GoPro is fine, but expensive and not easily available. An Iphone is great, the photos it takes are terrific!...I use a GPS holder (like the ones used to hold cellphones in your car) to hold the phone to the eyepiece of the microscope. Its just up to your imagination...but certainly you save A LOT of money, since pro camera with special attachments are very expensive. I can send you a photo of the setup I have, just give me a few days since I am doing field work...
