I am getting different results for the same problem, using ANSYs and Solid Work Finite Element calculations, in the vibration modes package. The problem is a vibrating sphere in the quadrupole mode, using the same characteristics and dimensions, the final result is different by one percent. Is that normal? Some of these programs is more recomended for this problem?

Solid works doesn't have sophisticated elements library were as Ansys does. So, Ansys values are reliable than other case...
The result is also dependant on element type and size (have to be exactly the same in both software). Generally, Ansys is far way better software for FEM than SW.
The accuracy of FEM software mainly depends on its solver performance and not the elements at all. Most FEM software is using the same configuration for setting the elements in terms of degrees of freedom etc., this means that even using the same type and size mesh won't result in the same results and you may see a big difference in the results.
What meshes have you used in the analysis? Before comparing the results, please make sure that the two FE solutions have converged with the mesh refinement. One percent error is not that bad, but I believe it should be smaller for the problem you deal with.
