Hoy en día existen gran cantidad de fuentes de información a las que puedes tener acceso en línea, ya sea que las tenga disponibles tú institución educativa (Bases de Datos) o existen fuentes como el Google Scholar como bien lo mencionan, sin embargo otras páginas como Scielo, Dialnet, Redalyc, UNAM en línea, por mencionar algunas, se manejan ya en la modalidad de acceso abierto (Open Access) donde puedes obtener información muy especializada en tú tema. Te mando un artículo que te puede interesar y suerte en tú proyecto !!!

Great topic. I'm not sure of your methodological choices, but R is open source with a great community around social network analysis, if you are interested in quantitative study.
