I am a chemistry graduate. But I need a protocol which I can simply follow to knock in genes in E.coli?

Being a chemistry student I do not know much molecular biology. However I need to knockin some genes in E.coli. Please provide me a simple effective protocol and some papers through which I can do this easily.
