Dear all
I have been looking for an alternate of Teflon AF 2400 solution which is very costly and not easily available. I need to coat over SU8 surface which is supposed to be hydrophobic in nature. Any surface texture or modification to achieve hydrophobicity is not desirable.
Kindly let me know, if such chemical is available which is cheap and easily available.
P.S- One can think of PDMS but it is not allowed in our lab.
Any reply or suggestions would be highly appreciable.

Why don't you try to use Grangers Performance Proofer solution (Grangers Ltd. UK)? This chemical is available at Amazon.com, but even if it is out-of-stock you can buy similar product from the same company. Grangers Ltd. deals with hydrophobic solutions for waterproof breatheable fabrics. Our research group and that of Prof. Glen McHale uses their chemicals to enhance the non-wettability of superhydrophobic carbon soot or SU-8 photoresist.
