I have estimated saturated hydraulic conductivity of 120 soil samples and obtained 0 value for 30 samples. sHC values for all samples vary from 0.0 to 16 cm/hr. The ESP of these 30 samples vary from 18 to 46.5. The samples also contain substantial CaCO3.

I estimated frequency distribution and the CV was >200. Examined the distribution pattern and found that the data is not normally distributed. As analysis like ANOVA, factor analysis are based on the assumption that the data is normally distributed, I tried  log transformation and normalised it before analysis.

However, the 0 value influences the mean value and hence CV. I feel this may lead to wrong conclusion or interpretation.
