I have a Bio-Rad HPX-87P carbohydrate column and so far I have used it for the separation of low molecular carbohydrates at 80 °C with a 0.6 ml/min flow rate. I stored it at zero °C when not used. I encountered an overpressure problem (150 - 160 bar) and despite applying the cleaning procedure suggested by Bio-Rad (https://www.bio-rad.com/webroot/web/pdf/lsr/literature/LIT42.pdf) no significant difference was observed. In my last trial, the pressure was so high that water leaked from the inlet of the column, and thus the device gave an error. I would be grateful should someone share their experiences with me.
