I saw the table which shows the comparison of the NoSQL databases following the matrix of the attributes you used in the evaluation. I was wondering how you were able to come up with the matrix. I am asking you this because I am conducting a comparative study between relational database and document database (mongodb), and I am finding ways on how I can come up/formulate a matrix or checklist so that I can evaluate both databases fairly. Your response will be highly appreciated.

Maybe one has to make as many structured queries as there are cells in the relational data-base and thus come up with two relational data-bases that you can compare cell for cell?
I would recommend that you use a mixture of reasonable use cases to derive features required for that use case.
For example, I found that I have no trouble storing serialized objects in SQL tables and I can even use LIKE queries to peer inside the serialized object to find specific records. So, nosql/mongodb don't make sense for my application until I hit a performance barrier or some other limitation of SQL (MySQL, in this case).
