We are using the EGS code (DOSXYZ software) to simulate the CT scanner. We used the ISource = 8 for this purpose. Our problem is that we must execute the program for each of imported image slice by defining one isocenter (at the center of the slice) and various radiation fan-beams from various angles. Therefore, if we have 100 image slices (phantom slices), we must execute the program for 100 various isocenters. Is it a faster way to simulate the CT scan?
