I am familiar for making paste out of Al2O3 nano-particles with TERPINOL AND ETHYL CELLULOSE, but was wondering if any one is familiar with a direct method to prepare SnO2 paste. Thanks.
I have found few references (below) but they use autoclave which I do not have, is there a method to make the paste without the use of autoclave? or any other process alternative to autoclave?
You need to add to the powder binder and solvent. For some hints please follow the link:https://www.researchgate.net/post/Can_anyone_tell_me_how_to_prepare_paste_of_tin_oxide_powder_to_be_useful_for_dssc
The most critical part to make a screen printing paste is the vehicle binder, which will cure the metal particles and also result in the desired porosity and grain size.
Thanks for the feedback guys. I am able to make the paste, first by dispersing the SnO2 in ethanol and in a separate container mixing ethyl-cellulose with terpinol (till it becomes transparent), then mixing of the above two resulted in the paste after removing excess ethanol by rotovac. But lets see how it performs in the devices.
