How we can measure the infiltration in soil which having gravels more than 30 % . We want to calculate infiltration rate in our research work. Kindly suggest correct way for calculation of infiltration in gravely soil.
Sir generally ponding method provide more reliable results.. but it is quite labour intensive.. so u can go with double ring infiltrometer...
Sir you can read a file related to the infiltration..
Please take a dram and fill it with the sample soil. The dram should be an outlet ant the bottom. Then put water on the top surface of the soil and collect water from the bottom outlet. I think you can get a brief knowledge.

Considering that the double ring has more suitable results for homogeneous soils and of course there are some problems in determining the initial infiltration and constant water pressure on it, in my opinion, it is better to use a rain simulator that is designed based on the characteristics of the study area
