You may use three electrode system, your carbon counter electrode as working electrode, and you can use Ag/Ag+ as reference electrode, and Pt wire as counter electrode.

Then you can choose I-/I3- or Co2+/3+ or other redox couple used in DSSC based electrolyte.

As I have made counter electrodes of DSSC from graphene and MWCNTs. Now I have graphene and MWCNTs in powder form. Is it possible to have CV scan of powder sample? If yes, please suggest some suitable way. Also Can I use any electrolyte or the choice of electrolyte depends on working electrode materials nature? Please answer me.

Powder samples may be coated on a suitable substrate usually FTO which is a working electrode, Pt as CE and Ag/AgCl as RE.. Then one can choose electrolyte appropriately....further readings at http://pubs.acs.org/doi/abs/10.1021/cr400675m....

In recommendation to K.Mahendrapraphu Sir, i would suggest you to use FTO to coat with Graphene and MWCNTs, to design working electrodes and use Platinum wire as counter electrode and Ag/AgCl as reference electrode. Then you can choose the electrolyte you can opt, and perform CV. If you simply want to characterize the coated then you can perform CV and use 5mM Ferro/Ferri with 0.1M KCl as electrolyte. We use this electrolye for electrode's characterizations.

I have opted for doctor blade method for coating films in my research. The films with this method are not so stable and also have thickness in micron..is this suitable for CV?

2. is it important to note down how much amount of sample we loaded / coated on FTO like 1mg is loaded ?

3. how it can be compared with iodine / iodide electrolyte ?
