Dear All,

I think we have to consider this questions bit seriously as today there are number of predatory journals available.

Earlier we had only credible sources like Elsevier, springer etc. But now in different moments, some bogus articles are presented on reputed journals (see 10.1111/jdv.15039)

Hence when taking opinions from literature to evaluate the state of arts, i suggest to, first of all, give weight to the individual literature. going through a number of references I propose following un-verified framework to evaluate the articles - I do have reason to high, medium and low values in the formula;

Literature’s credibility = High (Average Citation per year + Author credibility + Number of pages/words) + Medium (Type of the literature + checklist keyword search) + Low (Citation Impact of the Journal)

where

Average Citation per year = number of citations received by other article divided by present date minus published date of the article

Author credibility = H index of the author

Number of pages/words = number of pages in the particular article

Type of the literature = refereed journal, peer review journal, book, conf paper etc ...

Checklist keyword search = how many “Subben׳s checklist” items (see 10.1016/j.cor.2016.02.004)

Citation Impact of the Journal = journal impact

Dear All please give your suggestions to following;

1. Have I taken all major parameters to weight the literature?

2. Any suggestions to high, medium and low classifications of parameters?

3. Further, I need classify individual parameter to high, medium and low. Then;

3.1 Average Citation per year = number of citations received by other article divided by present date minus published date of the article

- what is the range? 0 to 2 is low, 2.1 to 4 is medium like

3.2 Author credibility = H index of the author

- less than 1 is low, 1.1 to 5 is medium etc ??

3.3 Number of pages/words = number of pages in the particular article

- less than 5 is low, 5 to 10 medium etc ??

3.4 Type of the literature = refereed journal, peer review journal, book, conf paper etc ...

- Index journals - very high, peer review - high, books - medium, thesis - low, conf papers are very low ????

3.5 Checklist keyword search = how many “Subben׳s checklist” items (see 10.1016/j.cor.2016.02.004) it says 8 keywords and if 1-3 keywords low, 4-5 medium ???

3.6 Citation Impact of the Journal = journal impact

- this is the most difficult one, different impacts and indexes are there, please suggest me a method?
