I am modelling a heat pump and after the modelling part I am trying to use some refrigerant like L-41, and its not available in the EES library? Please share the knowledge if its possible to use and if yes then how can we add that refrigerant?

Select an equation of state (e.g., Peng-Robinson) suitable for the refrigerant and adjust it to fit known properties (critical point, saturation curve, specific heat at zero density). Derive all necessary properties from the equation of state. Insert the resulting code into your EES model. I found a Honeywell document describing L-41 (R-452B) but it doesn't have much information. I would have to digitize this figure and then select an equation of state. It doesn't appear to be in NIST's REFPROP database. Do you need this particular refrigerant or could you use NOVEC?
Thank you for the help, I don't need this specific refrigerant but I want to learn how to use those refrigerant not available in EES in the simulations on EES since for high temperature heat pumps the low GWP refrigerant are not available on EES
You can solve refrigerant cycles using an Excel spreadsheet. You can even optimize aspects of the cycle using Excel's Solver() Add-In. Plus you can plot all sorts of things in Excel. You probably don't need EES. This spreadsheet works for 3 refrigerants (R134a, R142b, and R152a) and you can easily add more.
Dudley J Benton Thanks for sharing it, but I think it does not work in my pc since the macros are automatically stopped by Microsoft and despite changing the refrigerant it showing bugs and a lot of ######,
Further I would be thankful if you could little explain about the robinson model since when I complete my model for heat pump and I don't have a experimental setup to validate that so my advisor ask me to validate with Robinson study, I did not not understand what does it even mean, could you share a little info on this ?

You must enable macros after launching Excel. Google "Peng-Robinson" and you will find many articles. Also, notice the tab names. The spreadsheet is set up to work with the refrigerants using the properties listed on the tabs. You can only select refrigerants that exactly correspond to the name of a tab. Do not rename the tabs, as this will not change the properties therein.
